Our mission is to achieve lasting beauty, but it's pointless to leave no stone unturned if we bury our heads in the sand when it comes to health. We try to give back a little of our humility to our profession for the benefit of our patients, so promoting our screenings is a central issue even when our clients are not looking for a health but a "wellness environment" and painless beauty.
We feel obliged by our medical oath to take a clear and unequivocal stand on such simple and weighty issues. We want all our female patients to have regular gynaecological screening (and all our patients to have a mole screening at least once a year).
When should you see a gynaecologist?
- For cervical cancer screening (annually)
- For menstrual disorders
- For complaints related to hormonal changes
- For frequent lower abdominal pain
- Painful sexual intercourse
- For more severe bloating
- For vaginal infection (altered vaginal discharge; burning, itching sensation in the intimate region)

Two types of cytology are available at our centre:
- Traditional smear making
- LBC (liquid based cytology): the smear brush is rinsed directly in a liquid so that the cells are not damaged. In the cytology laboratory, a computer-controlled smear is prepared from the sample in the fluid. The sensitivity of the test and the certainty of the result exceed 90%.
For both types, results are expected within 1-2 weeks, so it is advisable to make an appointment early (at least 2 weeks before intimate laser treatment).
