Treatment

It's hard to know without a consultation, so it's definitely worth coming to discuss the options. In general, however, the most ideal candidates for treatment are those who

• has only "a small surplus", but it is in a more delicate, difficult to work off area;
• mild to moderate skin sagging (regardless of skin tone, but not recommended for severe sun damage);
• no implants or fillings in the treated area;
• or do not have an internal defibrillator or pacemaker.

The price of the treatment depends on the size of the area to be treated (see below for exact prices) and the number of sessions in your personalised treatment series.

The Venus Legacy™ is an officially Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cleared medical aesthetic machine that allows for virtually painless treatment. Complications can only occur if the machine is operated by an unqualified person. At Secret Medical, of course, only experienced, qualified colleagues carry out the treatment, so there's no need to worry! 🙂

Mild redness and/or oedema may occur after Venus Legacy™ treatment, but will last for a maximum of a few hours. If vacuuming is also done during the treatment (when using the 4D face and 4D body applicator), bruising and muscle aches may occur, but these will disappear in a few days and will not affect daily activities.

Venus Legacy™ treatment is not used on people under 18 years of age and should not be used if you have any of the following problems:

• Active inflammation and/or infection in the treated area
• Tumour status
• Degenerative neurological diseases
• Heat-stimulated illnesses (such as recurrent Herpes simplex in the treatment area)
• Internal defibrillator/pacemaker
• Metal implants in the treated area, excluding dental implants
• Uncontrolled thyroid disorder
• Skin-related autoimmune diseases
• Silicone implants and injections in the treated area in the last month
• Pregnancy, IVF - IVF programme, breastfeeding
• Epilepsy
• Chemical peels in the last month
• Fresh scars or wounds, scarification of the skin in the treated area, tattoos
• Recent surgical procedure/specific medicines
• Rosacea (not recommended when treating the face)
• Enlarged hair or varicose veins in the area to be treated

The Venus Legacy™ treatment is almost painless, and the controlled application of heat may result in a slight burning sensation, but this is more discomfort than pain. The vacuum can make you feel a weak suction on your skin, but both the heat and the vacuum are adjustable, so you can even reduce the suction if it feels too strong.

The treatment time depends mostly on the size of the treated area, on average 1-1 session can be done in 15-60 minutes. Most patients need 6-8 treatments in one area, scheduled 1 week apart, but we will discuss your treatment plan and its duration during your personal consultation. 🙂

Although the two treatments may seem similar at first glance, as they both help to contour the body, they are different in both technology and results. Venus Legacy uses radiofrequency fat reduction, and the results are cumulative, so you'll see continued improvement with each new treatment, and for about 3-4 months after the full series. In the case of Cooltech Define, we are talking about fat freezing, which results in permanent fat cell reduction. But this does not mean that one is better than the other, in fact! Why should you always choose when you can combine? 😉 We also have two super passes (Slim-me, Super Slim-me) that include both treatments!
