I am interested in the price of the underarm bo-tox antiperspirant. How much does it cost?

The price of the underarm bo-tox antiperspirant is 107.000 Ft. In combination with laser hair removal (2 sessions of antiperspirant + 6 sessions of GentleMax Pro permanent laser hair removal), paid in one lump sum 291.000 HUF, monthly instalments 26.700 HUF/month.

Is underarm bo-tox safe?

In short: Yes! 🙂 A little more: although botulinum toxin is a poison, it is harmless thanks to its tiny concentration, absorption and treatment by expert hands. In addition, because of its medical use, bo-tox has to pass very strict tests and undergo authorisation procedures, which it meets to the maximum. So there's no need to worry! Of course, there are cases where bo-tox is contraindicated, but your doctor will always inform you of the contraindications. (We'll write a short summary of this in a separate post a little further down.)

Do you have side effects?

There are no side effects after a Bo-tox injection, but after the treatment you may experience mild bleeding, redness, swelling, tenderness, numbness, possibly headache and itching, but these will go away after a few days. In a small percentage of cases, there may be some knotting, allergy, inflammation or muscle twitching at the needle puncture site, but these problems also disappear after a few weeks. Always follow the instructions of your doctor to reduce the risks!

When is bo-tox antiperspirant contraindicated?

We do not treat people under the age of 18, over the age of 60-65, or during pregnancy and breastfeeding. In addition, it should not be used if the following problems exist:

  • known allergies to bo-tox and albumin,
  • fever, inflammatory disease,
  • infection or inflammation of the area to be treated,
  • a specific nervous system or muscle disease, autoimmune disease,
  • taking certain medicines (quinine, gentamycin, streptomycin).

Is the treatment painful?

The area to be treated is prepared with an anaesthetic cream before the injection. You may feel a "little pinch" when the needle is inserted, which is at most a little uncomfortable, but not painful, and more likely you won't even notice it! 🙂

Do I need to care for the treated area at home after an antiperspirant injection?

No, but you must follow the instructions of your doctor!

Is the antiperspirant effect permanent?

No, but you can expect a lasting antiperspirant effect for 6-8 months. As described above, for truly long-lasting results, we recommend repeated treatment, typically 1-2 times a year.

How does bo-tox antiperspiration work?
  1. 1.
    Medical consultation
As underarm bo-tox antiperspirant injectable treatment can only be administered by a doctor, you will need to consult your doctor from the first time you have it. The consultation will include an assessment of suitability, taking a medical history and discussing treatment options.
  2. 2.
    Treatment
Before the injection, the puncture points are marked, then the area to be treated is disinfected and lubricated with a local anaesthetic cream. The active ingredient is then injected into the target area with a syringe using tiny needles. The total treatment should not take more than 15 minutes.
  3. 3.
    After the antiperspirant injection
You may experience mild bleeding, redness, swelling and tenderness, which will disappear after a few days. After treatment you can return to your daily activities, but follow a few simple rules! After the treatment, do not under any circumstances press or massage the treated area! Do not use deodorant for 12-24 hours and do not sunbathe, sauna, sunbeds, tanning beds or strenuous exercise for at least 2 weeks. Your doctor will of course inform you about this.
  4. 4.
    Repeat and/or combination of treatments
The active ingredient is absorbed over time (6-8 months), so we recommend repeated treatment for long-lasting results. This is typically 1-2 times a year. And if you want to say goodbye to sweating and goodbye to hair removal, choose our Always Fresh package!
