Do I need Botox?
Well, it's hard to tell from a casual glance. 🙂 If you have decided to undergo aesthetic treatment, you should come for a free consultation where we will assess your skin condition, discuss your options and tailor a treatment plan to your needs, which may include Botox treatment.
I am interested in the price of Botox treatment. How much does it cost?
The price of Botox depends on how many units of the active ingredient are used during the treatment, but this can vary from person to person and from treatment to treatment. Depending on the area treated, the price ranges from 50-107.000 HUF.
Is Botox injection safe?
In short: Yes! 🙂 A bit more: although botulinum toxin is a poison, it is harmless thanks to its tiny concentration, absorption and treatment by expert hands. In addition, because of its medical use, Botox has to pass very strict tests and undergo authorisation procedures, which it complies with to the maximum. So there's no need to worry! Of course, there are cases where Botox is contraindicated, but your doctor will always inform you of the contraindications. (We'll write a short summary of this in a separate post a little further down)
Do you have side effects?
There are no side effects after Botox, but after the treatment you may experience some mild bleeding, redness, swelling, tenderness, numbness, headaches and itching, but these will go away after a few days. In a small percentage of cases, there may be some lumpiness, allergy, inflammation, possibly muscle twitching, sagging of the eyebrows or eyelids at the needle puncture site, but these problems also disappear after a few weeks. Always follow the instructions of your doctor to reduce the risks!
When is Botox contraindicated?
Botox treatment is not performed under the age of 18, over the age of 60-65, during pregnancy or breastfeeding. In addition, botox should not be used as a cosmetic procedure if the following problems exist:
- known botox and albumin allergies,
- fever, inflammatory disease,
- infection or inflammation of the area to be treated,
- a specific nervous system or muscle disease, autoimmune disease,
- taking certain medicines (quinine, gentamycin, streptomycin).
Is Botox treatment painful?
The area to be treated is prepared with an anaesthetic cream before the injection. You may feel a "little pinch" when the needle pricks you, which is at most a little uncomfortable, but not painful, and more likely you won't even notice it! 🙂
Do I have to care for the treated area at home after the injection?
No, but you must follow the instructions of your doctor!
Will the result be natural?
Yes! 🙂 At Secret Medical, our principle is to get the best out of you by preserving your own original character, but working on the areas that can be improved and problem areas. As a result, everyone will notice, but no one will know your secret! 🙂
How long does the effect of Botox last?
The durability of the treatment depends largely on the individual anatomy, the area treated, the condition of the skin, but it can also be influenced by lifestyle, which means that it can vary from person to person. For this reason, we tend to generalise: the effect of botox is about. It takes 4-6 months.

How it takes place
a Botox treatment?
- 1.Specialist medical consultation
Since Botox injections can only be performed by a specialist, you will consult your doctor from the first time you have them. During the consultation, your suitability will be assessed, your medical history will be taken and your ideas and treatment options will be discussed. - 2.Treatment
Before the Botox injection, the puncture points are marked, then disinfected and the area to be treated is lubricated with a local anaesthetic cream. The active ingredient is then injected into the botox region(s) using a syringe and tiny needles. The total treatment should not take more than 15 minutes. - 3.After the Botox injection
You may experience mild bleeding, redness, swelling and tenderness, which will disappear after a few days. After Botox, you can go back to your daily activities, but follow a few simple rules! After the treatment, avoid lying down, bending, and under no circumstances press or massage the treated area for at least 4 hours. Do not use perfumes, cosmetics, creams, make-up for 12-24 hours and do not sunbathe, sauna, sunbeds, tanning beds or strenuous exercise for at least 2 weeks. Your doctor will of course inform you about this. - 4.Repeat and/or combination of treatments
As we have already mentioned, Botox is absorbed over time, so we recommend that you repeat the treatment or combine it with other treatments to achieve long-lasting results. What's more, we have also developed specific but customisable Treatment Programmes!
